Homework also may be an assignment to bring an item or items to class (such as magazine photos). The Sketchbook Counts as daily class work, is graded occasionally, and is part of the EXAM. Art Projects Assessed on measurable criteria, usually 100 POINTS PER PROJECT The Exhibit Counts 2 PROJECT GRADES Quizzes (30-50 points each, 1-3 per semester) Knowledge of art vocabulary, artists and art styles Semester Exam Counts 1/5 of the semester grade; can exempt with 89.5 and above average of the two quarter grades.
Grading and Expectations Grades are calculated based on total points possible. Each assignment is worth a maximum point value based on time required for completion and difficulty level. The quarter average is the total points earned divided by the maximum total points possible. The maximum total points varies each quarter. Students should keep track of how much each assignment is worth. The net classroom view displays each grade as a percentage.
